I am Mohamed Imsath, a dedicated and enthusiastic graduate with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree specialized in Finance from the South Eastern University of Sri Lanka, having completed my final exams and currently awaiting results. I gained practical experience as an Accounts Assistant at Majeed & Son’s Distributors, where I was responsible for account reconciliation, invoice processing, budgeting, and assisting in financial reporting. My academic background has equipped me with strong analytical and financial skills, while my hands-on experience has strengthened my understanding of accounting procedures and business operations. I am proficient in Quick book, MS Excel and familiar with SPSS, EViews, and currently pursuing Xero Advisor Certification to enhance my accounting software knowledge. I am known for being detail-oriented, a quick learner, and a strong team player, with a passion for continuous improvement and contributing meaningfully to organizational success.
Education
I hold a Bachelor of Business Administration (Specialized in Finance) from the South Eastern University of Sri Lanka, completed in 2025. My academic journey provided me with a strong foundation in financial management, accounting, business analysis, and corporate finance. I successfully completed coursework in key areas such as financial reporting, investment analysis, budgeting, and data interpretation. I also gained practical exposure through the use of analytical tools like MS Excel, SPSS, and EViews, and I am currently pursuing Xero Advisor Certification to further strengthen my accounting software skills.
Experience
As an Accounts Assistant, I was responsible for supporting daily accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. My key duties included account reconciliation, invoice processing, assisting in budget preparation, and supporting monthly and year-end financial reporting. I also coordinated with internal departments and external vendors to ensure timely payments and proper documentation. This role helped me develop strong skills in MS Excel, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of financial operations in a business environment.
