Nolte Apiaries, a well-established beekeeping operation in Canada, is seeking motivated Apiary Workers to join their team. This role is suited to individuals with a passion for agriculture and the environment. Visa sponsorship is available for eligible international candidates seeking to bring their expertise to Canada’s vibrant apiculture sector.
- Assist in the seasonal management of bee colonies.
- Conduct bee hive health checks and apply treatments for pests and diseases.
- Harvest, extract, and process honey and other bee products.
- Maintain beekeeping equipment and apiary sites.
- Help with the breeding of bees and the maintenance of queen bees.
- Follow biosecurity measures to protect hives from disease and pests.
- Work under the guidance of experienced beekeepers and learn advanced beekeeping techniques.
- Previous experience in beekeeping is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work long hours, often in outdoor conditions.
- Comfortable working with bees and able to handle bee stings.
- A team player with good communication skills.
- Physical fitness to lift and operate beekeeping equipment.
- A genuine interest in beekeeping and agriculture.
- A valid work permit for Canada (visa sponsorship is available).
Education and Qualification:
- No formal education is required.
- Training or courses in beekeeping would be an asset.
