Job Responsibilities:
- Operate Class 1 vehicles for the transportation of goods and materials as scheduled.
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle such as condition of equipment, and loading and unloading of cargo.
- Ensure the safety and security of the cargo.
- Comply with all transport laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Maintain log books, vehicle maintenance, and repair records.
- Report any incidents or accidents promptly to management.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain professionalism at all times.
Job Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 driving license or equivalent.
- Proven work experience as a Class 1 Driver or similar role.
- Clean driving record and a strong safety mindset.
- Good physical condition and stamina.
- Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
- Strong communication and navigation skills.
- For international candidates, must be eligible for visa sponsorship to work in Canada.
Education and Qualification:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Additional certification from a truck driving school will be a plus.
