Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement community outreach programs in line with NSHA’s objectives and community needs.
- Work directly with community members, providing education, support, and resources related to health and wellness.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social services, and community organizations to coordinate care and services.
- Conduct assessments and referrals for individuals requiring additional support or specialized services.
- Organize and participate in community events, workshops, and health promotion activities.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on outreach activities and client progress.
Job Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years experience in community outreach, health promotion, or a related field.
- Knowledge of community health issues and the range of available resources.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Eligibility for work in Canada, including meeting the requirements for visa sponsorship.
Education and Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Health, Community Development, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications or training in community outreach and health education are an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the community as required.
