Nova Scotia Health Authority (NSHA) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Outreach Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing outreach services and support to individuals and communities within Nova Scotia, promoting health and wellness across the region. - Salary CAD 20 – CAD 60 per hour

- Develop and implement community outreach programs in line with NSHA’s objectives and community needs.
- Work directly with community members, providing education, support, and resources related to health and wellness.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social services, and community organizations to coordinate care and services.
- Conduct assessments and referrals for individuals requiring additional support or specialized services.
- Organize and participate in community events, workshops, and health promotion activities.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on outreach activities and client progress.
- A minimum of 2 years experience in community outreach, health promotion, or a related field.
- Knowledge of community health issues and the range of available resources.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Eligibility for work in Canada, including meeting the requirements for visa sponsorship.
Education and Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Health, Community Development, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications or training in community outreach and health education are an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the community as required.
