Job Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and repairing holes and cracks.
- Apply paint, varnishes, and stains to walls, ceilings, flooring, and other internal and external surfaces.
- Match and mix colors to meet the required specifications.
- Work with a variety of materials and painting equipment.
- Conduct maintenance checks on painting equipment and tools.
- Adhere to health and safety standards and use protective and safety equipment.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule painting projects and minimize disruption to hospital operations.
- Keep inventory of supplies and materials and order new stock as required.
- Maintain records of work completed and report any major needs for repairs.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as a maintenance painter or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with painting techniques and the operation of painting equipment.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices related to painting.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A valid work permit for Canada (visa sponsorship is available).
Education and Qualification:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Professional painting training or apprenticeship is preferred.
- Certification in a trade or vocational school in painting or a related field is an advantage.

Salary Range:
