Job Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as the first point of contact for patients entering the NSHA system, providing guidance and information.

  3. Coordinate with different departments to streamline patient appointments, procedures, and care pathways.
  4. Address barriers to care by connecting patients with resources such as transportation, financial aid, and language services.
  5. Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure a patient-centered approach to care.
  6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of NSHA services, programs, and initiatives.

Job Requirements:

  • A background in healthcare, social work, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on patient advocacy and support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work sensitively across diverse populations.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in patient care coordination or as a healthcare navigator is highly desirable.
  • Eligibility for a Canadian work visa, for which sponsorship will be provided for the right candidate.

Education and Qualification:

  1. A degree or diploma in Health Sciences, Social Work, or related field.
