Tricity Animal Hospital in Canada is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our healthcare team. We are a full-service animal hospital that focuses on preventive care and education to ensure the best quality of life for pets. - Examine animals to diagnose their health problems and recommend best practice treatment.
- Consult with pet owners about preventive healthcare.
- Carry out surgical procedures and dentistry when required.
- Conduct tests and X-rays to help diagnose the animals’ conditions.
- Prescribe medication and give comprehensive advice to pet owners.
- Euthanize animals when necessary.
- Keep up to date with new developments through continued education and professional growth.
- Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent.
- Licensed to practice in Canada or eligible for licensure.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain medical terms and conditions to a layperson.
- Experience in general practice veterinary medicine.
- Compassionate and professional with a calm demeanor.
- Ability to work in a busy and complex environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Education and Experience:
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.
- Completion of the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE) for international candidates, if applicable.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a veterinary practice is preferred.
